Time zones and DST

Cron uses the server's local zone; containers and cloud hosts are often UTC.

DST transition days may skip or repeat a time.

FAQ

Standard cron cannot; use systemd timers or an app scheduler.

How do I avoid duplicate runs?

Use locks or idempotency; do not rely on timing alone.
